INTRODUCTION

This workshop is run by our talented member Charlotte Dearman, an expert in the craft of Jesmonite & the art of Jewellery making. Charlotte sells her beautiful, handcrafted, homewares independently and is now offering these fun and friendly classes to pass on her knowledge and spark your creativity!

COURSE CONTENT

During this workshop, Charlotte will guide you through the process of creating your very own, Jesmonite products. Choose to make either a bespoke pair of Jesmonite terrazzo coasters, an awesome little soap dish or a mini pot, that is perfect as a desk organiser or to house a candle or mini plant!

You will be using Jesmonite AC100 which is an environmentally conscious alternative to traditional resin based products, and provides a lightweight alternative to concrete.

Jesmonite is a water & acrylic based, solvent free product - making it safe for many uses.

Charlotte will be showing you how to mix the material & cast into silicone moulds, your product will be individual to you as you can experiment with colours & designs until you land on the perfect bespoke colour palette for your home. Whilst the material is setting in the moulds, there will be a small break for refreshments at the onsite coffee bar when you will have the chance to ask Charlotte questions & learn a little more about this wonderfully versatile material & it's capabilities.

The workshop covers the whole process - from choosing colours of chips and resin, casting the products and finally sanding & sealing them ready to take home that very same day!

£47-£50 per person depending on product chosen
